The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announces that 1,349 out of 2,356 passed the various grades of the written phase of the MARINE ENGINEER OFFICERS LICENSURE EXAMINATIONS given by the Board for Marine Engineer Officers in Manila this January 2009.

The members of the Board for Marine Engineer Officers are Engr. Jose G. Abugan, Chairman; Engr. Miguel O. Marasigan, Vice-Chairman; Engr. Victoriano A. Alojado, Engr. Ferdinand R. Pascua and Engr. Eldefonso G. Uba, Members.

The results were released after four (4) working days from the last day of examinations.

Registration for the issuance of Certificate of Registration and Professional Identification Cards for those who are exempted in the practical assessment will start on Wednesday, February 4, 2009 until February 16, 2009 in the Central Office; and on Wednesday, February 4, 2009 until February 11, 2009 in the Regional Offices.

In addition, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) also announces that 173 examinees passed the computer based Walk-in-Examination System – Theoretical Phase for the Second Marine Engineers and Officer-In-Charge - E.W., that were held from October 2, 2008 to January 27, 2009.

The oathtaking ceremony of the successful examinees as well as the previous ones who have not taken their Oath of Professional and those who opted to submit ERS Assessment Certificates will be held before the Board on Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at 1:00 o’clock in the afternoon at the Manila Hotel, One Rizal Park, Manila.

Certificate of Competency and Certificate of Endorsement shall be distributed during the oathtaking ceremony to the Chief Engineers and Second Engineers who successfully passed the board examinations and completed the required STCW95 compulsory training and sea service. They shall proceed to MEOD and STCW section for registration and validation as soon as possible in order to expedite the processing of the above-mentioned certificates.

Registration for membership with the Marine Engineer Officers Association of the Philippines (MEOAP) will start after registration as a professional with the board and the Commission.

The Professional Regulation Commission announced yesterday that 296 out of 708 passed the Dentist Licensure Examination given by the Board of Dentistry this December 2008.

The successful examinees who garnered the 10 highest places were Cecille Mae Uy Deomano, of the University of the East-Manila, 83.99 percent; Alida Grace Aguilus Macaspac, Centro Escolar University-Manila, 83.40 percent; Cris Anne Mangio David, CEU-Malolos, 82.57 percent; Liobelle Ochoa Robles, CEU-Malolos, 81.48 percent; Philip John Tiu Sy, Cebu Doctors’ University, 81.43 percent; Arlyn Ang Lizaso, University of the Philippines-Manila, 81.32 percent; Amerigo Raguindin Beltran, UE-Manila, 81.20 percent; Krishan Tan Sanchez, UP-Manila, 81 percent; Anna Marie Manuod Santos, UE-Manila, 80.74 percent and Leila Kris Colili Aquino, CEU-Malolos, 80.68 percent.

The successful examinees as well previous ones who have not taken their Oath of Professional will have their oathtaking ceremony on Jan. 26, 2009 at the Manila Hotel.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announces that 320 out of 712 passed the Radiologic Technologist and X-Ray Technologist Licensure Examinations given by the Board of Radiologic Technology in Manila this December 2008.

Registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will start on Monday, December 15, 2008 but not later than January 10, 2009 (PRC Regional Offices) and January 14, 2009 (PRC Central Office). Those who will register are required to bring the following: duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, current Community Tax Certificate (cedula), 2 pieces passport size picture (colored with white background and complete name tag), 1 piece 1″ x 1″ picture (colored with white background and complete name tag), 2 sets of metered documentary stamps, and 1 short brown envelope with name and profession; and to pay the Initial Registration Fee of P600 and Annual Registration Fee of P450 for 2008-2011 for RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGIST; Initial Registration Fee of P450 and Annual Registration Fee of P420 for 2008-2011 for X-RAY TECHNOLOGIST. Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.

The oathtaking ceremony of the successful examinees in the said examinations as well as the previous ones who have not taken their Oath of Professional will be held before the Board on Sunday, January 18, 2009 at 1:00 o’clock in the afternoon at the Manila Hotel, One Rizal Park, Manila.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announces that 43 out of 98 passed the Aeronautical Engineer Licensure Examination given by the Board of Aeronautical Engineering in Manila this November 2008.

The results were released in one (1) day after the last day of examination.
